About Us
All our settings are owned by Sam and Rich Maitland-Price with flagship nursery, Little Lambs Day Nursery in Kinmel Bay being the first one they purchased 15 years ago!
Sam is a qualified Nursery Nurse and holds Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, Level 5 in Playwork and BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies and is very much involved with all the sites. You will catch her welcoming parents and children and popping in to play across each of the Little Lambs sites. She is also available on our FAMLY app daily.
Rich usually pops in over the weekend or evening as our resident handyman, but he is usually busy with his own businesses, which is running two garages in Kinmel Bay and Rhyl.
Our nurseries offer the highest standard of care, along with excellent opportunities to learn and develop in a purposeful and authentic way. We support the New Curriculum for Wales and believe that high quality education provision is essential to children’s development. At Little Lambs, we recognise that every child is unique, and we keep the developmental needs of our children at the forefront of our practices.
Our staff are committed, confident and valued practitioners, many of whom are loyal and long standing, who are highly motivated and fully trained to ensure they provide the very best quality of care.
Each setting has a highly skilled team, each team will have a manager, Supervisor, Team Leaders, and practitioners who all work alongside each other to support the day to day running of the setting.
We believe outdoor play is crucial to a child’s development and we encourage using outdoors in all weathers.
Being outdoors provides opportunities to inspire awe and wonder. Providing your children with spare clothes and suitable clothing for the weather means we can be outdoors as much indoors!
All our settings have spacious and well-designed outdoor areas with a variety of exciting, inviting and innovative experiences to keep our children happy and engaged. We also go off exploring around our local communities or go off out in our nursery buses!
Partnerships
We are also registered for Childcare Offer for Wales in all of our settings which supports funded childcare for children aged 3 and 4 years old. If your child is 3 or 4 years old and you and your partner (If applicable) work 16 hours or more then you could be eligible. Please call our sites to see if your eligible or for more details.
We are members of National Day Nursery Association (NDNA), Early Years Wales and Clybiau Plant Cymru. Being a member of these organisations helps us to continue and uphold high standards of practice and continue to enhance our practices.
We are registered with Design to Smile which is a Welsh government national programme to improve the oral health of children in Wales. We are registered at Little Lambs Day Nursery and Little Lambs Emmanuel and both settings have received the GOLD award!
We are currently in the process of registering our new setting, Little Lambs Pre-school.
