Our tots group is for our children aged 1 years – 2 years old. The staff ratio is 1 staff to 3 children in compliance with CIW. Ruth is our Tots Team Leader and is level 3 qualified with over 10 years experience, Alana also works within our Tots room and is Level 3 qualified. Alana has moved to Little Lambs from another nursery in Rhyl where she gained lots of experience working with the younger children. Jodie also works in the Tots room she currently has her Level 2 in childcare and is working towards her Level 3.

Now that your child is mobile, the Tots room offers a friendly and welcoming environment. This room is well equipped with age appropriate toys and also all children’s amenities to hand. The tots also start to move around the nursery using the wet room for messy play and mealtimes and also slots in the garden area. Tots are also introduced to loose parts play.

We offer FREE ‘settling in’ sessions whereby you attend the nursery with your child for an hour long period to see how your child fits in and to meet the member of staff from the room who will be responsible.

Little Lambs provides ALL nappies and wet wipes and any formula milk.

Activities and Planning: Planned activities are provided every day developing various skills such as creative, role play, outdoor play, knowledge and understanding of the world and the children have the opportunity to paint creative lots of pictures to take home. We actively encourage our children to experience the delights of messy play, pasta play, painting, nappy art, walks to local amenities, sand play , water play and many more to give each individual child to develop in a positive way.
